Who could look up a head gasket replacement and complete timing belt kit (incl water pump, pulleys, tensioner, etc.) for my granddaughter's 2011 Outback with the H4 and A/T? I know this is pretty standard maintenance beyond a certain mileage, and her car is already at 216k without either job being performed, as far as I can tell. I just don't want a 19-year old stranded by the freeway with a jumped/broken belt or overheating and all else that results from failed head gaskets. Phone estimates vary from $2300 to as high as $4400! What does the book say about shop hours involved?
