Are fuel additives still useful in newer Subaru Outbacks?

I have a 2023 Subaru Outback Wilderness, and I'm trying to determine if fuel additives are still a thing people use. Back when I had my old '98 Blazer, I'd throw in HEET during the winter and never gave it a second thought. Now I'm reading that newer engines might be more sensitive and I don't want to mess with the fuel system. Does anyone here still use gas antifreeze or injector cleaners in their Outback, or is it better to stick with Top Tier fuel and call it good? I'm in Minnesota, so I'm mostly thinking ahead to snow season.

I've got a 2022 Wilderness and used HEET all the time in my old Tacoma too. Now I just use good gas (Top Tier) and it's been fine, even in cold Minnesota winters. Subaru says not to use additives, and today's gas already helps with moisture. I just fill up at busy stations and keep the tank full when it's freezing out.

I've stuck with Top Tier since buying the Wilderness and haven't had any issues so far, even during last winter's cold snaps. I'll probably skip HEET this season and keep an eye on how the car handles once temps drop again. Have you ever noticed any difference in cold starts between using additives and sticking with good fuel? If nothing changes by mid-November, I'll consider this resolved.

Top Tier fuel has enough detergent that injector cleaners feel kinda redundant these days, at least for me. HEET's still fine to throw in if you want to be extra cautious about winter—newer Subarus aren't sensitive about that stuff.
