The rear end has started bouncing like a trampoline over every pothole, pretty sure the shocks have clocked out, I'm thinking replacements but before I dive into replacements, I'm hunting for real world stories like which aftermarket or OEM setups actually calm the bounce without turning the ride into a rock cart? and are there any unexpected install quirks or brands you'd never touch again,pls toss me your shock absorber wisdom so I can get this wagon back to gliding over the rough stuff.

Dude, I feel you. That bounce is just so frustrating! For my Outback, I went for Bilstein shocks and it surely ended that pogostick feeling LOL. It's still comfy for me and it made everything a whole lotta better. Make sure you ask an authorized dealer for it because shocks are quite delicate. It's hard to DIY because they have to bring the car up or something.

yeah, a lot of people go straight to aftermarket, but for a comfortable ride, the OEM shocks are often the best choice.
They're specifically designed and tuned for your vehicle's weight and suspension geometry, so they'll restore that original gliding' feeling.

Yeah, that trampolining gets old fast. I'd grab OEM replacements first before hunting down fancy aftermarket stuff—they're boring but they just work and you'll feel the difference compared to what you've got now.
