Where Can I Find a Reliable Workshop Manual for My Vehicle?

Hey everyone,

I hope someone here can point me in the right direction. I recently purchased a used car and want to handle basic maintenance and repairs myself to save on costs.

I have heard that a proper workshop manual is essential for any DIY mechanic, but I am unsure where to find a legitimate and detailed one for my specific make and model.

Are manufacturer issued manuals better than third party options like Haynes or Chilton?

Do digital versions work just as well as printed copies? Any advice from experienced home mechanics would be greatly appreciated.

Do digital versions work just as well as printed copies? If you are specifically looking for an Alfa Romeo 166 Workshop Manual, would a digital copy be sufficient or is a printed version more practical? Any advice from experienced home mechanics would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance for any help
